Oysters drying out
    #5371754 - 03/06/06 05:36 PM (17 years, 10 months ago)

I'm in a bit of a bind. My oysters are fruiting from holes in ziplock bags as you may have seen from my "Pink oysters pinning" thread. I have them sitting on the windowsill of a cracked open window to allow for plenty of FAE. They are getting dried out. Woud misting the inside of the bag a few times a day be a good idea? Only other option to keep humidity up is to put them in my greenhouse, but I'm afraid I may not have adequate FAE for oysters in there.

They'll be better off in the greenhouse. You can always lay a sheet or two of wax paper over the growing fruits to hold in a bit of humidity right there where the fruits are, while still allowing air exchange around them.
