storing colonized jars
    #5370874 - 03/06/06 01:23 PM (17 years, 10 months ago)

I am going on vacation on fri and won't be returining for about 8 days. Right now my jars are probably about 75% colonoized and should be almost completely done by fri. Am i better off storing the jars colonized... in incubation chamber or in 75 degree room?

What a dellima! If you must store the jars, I would suggest putting them in the fridge. Just make sure you DO NOT expose them to light. This may initiate pinning, which you don't want yet. I would not keep the jars in either the 75 degree room or the chamber... best if luck!

I would leave them out in the room.

8 days is not going to hurt anything.
Just remove them from your incubator, when you leave.
And, store them in a light proof box, at room temperature.
