Ozone in a glove box. 1

High all! New member here. Thnx to this place a few years ago I cropped some mushies but haven`t again since. This time, I want to ensure less possibility of contams so I`m making a glove box. I have a box and a holmes air purifier with a supposed hepa filter on it. Can that just be placed in the glovebox and used as is? Or is it better to cut holes on either end and mount the fan and filter on opposite sides? If I was going to pull the air through like that, could I also run a hose from an air tiger ozone gen to the end near the filter and get double the benefit of hepa and ozone, or would the ozone hamper my inoculation efforts? I have everything already sitting around so why not throw it all in there? Thanks for some quality help!

The ozone would clean the air fine, but before you did any actual work in your box you would want to let the ozone revert back to pure oxygen. This can take 30 minutes to an hour. Ozone may just kill spores too.

Cool, cool. Yeah I knew it would kill stuff but just wondered if it ran while I was working in it would it possibly kill the spores in the syringe or jars?? If a hose was attached near the opening on 1 end of the box with the filter and the fan on the other end, it seems the airflow would be enough that it would not saturate the inside but just provide cleaner air. Maybe running it with the hepa for a while then shutting of the ozone would be better...
I`ve done OK using the oven tek but want to step it up a bit....the air tiger was $200+ and it`s just sitting doing nothing.

DAMN! That is one of the main reasons I needed to build my own. I can not get over the prices they charge for virtually nothing.

Yeah, that was when I had some uh, er odors which where a bit strong..hehe..then they got even stronger so I threw out another $400 for a BIG mofo.....finally I discovered the use of carbon. Anyone care to buy a couple of ozone gens?
Looks like I was making this too hard. Roadkill was kind enough to direct me to his form of glovebox. Man, shrooms are way more cheaper to do than some of the other products out there.

I, too used mine when I had...um...odor problems. I never went for the carbon filters....I went right for the ghetto ozone.
The results are amazing, frankly.

I have a question regarding the issue. If i use mushroom body itself to inoculate rye jars in a glove box + alcohol + ozone generator, can it be a successful practice or I won't see any mycelium growth this way?
