LSD Light Show + Radio-Head

Every time I've dropped acid i get this amazing light show in my eyes/back of eye lids on the comedown. It lasts about an hour or so and will flicker, flash, and flutter even in complete darkness. Its an awesome way for acid to end the amazing journey, with a kick ass light show. I'm wondering if this happens to everyone on their acid trips or is it just I?
I also meditated for quite a long time on my acid trip last night. When listening to the ringing in my ears it would progressively change into Hendrix sounding music (lots of electric guitar.) I had full control of the music too, adding instruments and sounds to compose full songs with complete control. It was like a radio in my head, and i could tap into this ability whenever i wanted to. it was absolutely incredible. Anyone else have an experience to share like this?

i experienced the radio-head twice on some cubensis though. it was pretty a fun and crazy experience except the music coming out of my head had a more electronic feel to it so i started making techno fused with what where listening at the moment.
about the light show, i don't know, Ive never had that happen, but congrats on the free portable light show on the come down . maybe next time try to listen to radiohead and have the light show.

I had a light show at the end of my first mushroom trip (+4 hours in). It was very intense, but I have not had it again on any trip since, even with double the dose.

When I have eaten acid, it never fails to give quite the light show after the peak. Then again, before the peak and at the peak, the visuals are more intense. They seem to just condense into a more coherent geometrical structure after the peak. So ya, I think its quite common, as are nice colorful visuals in the dark, or light with eyes opened long after the peak.
I too have heard those sounds, and it started in a way that was like a game, I could insert sounds into the audio landscape. The more times I did acid the clearer I could hear the more perfect landscape of sound, a landscape that I could not be a part of as much, I could only switch my perspective. I have some crazy theories about that sound, because at some point it became apparent to me how they really sounded, and they are so complex that they really give me the chills.

*ponders* ---- is this any different than normal CEVs? as I tend to have intense CEVs and 'light shows' for the duration of my trip - not just at the end or start. I normally notice them a bit more towards the end, as I tend to be tired/laying in bed with my eyes closed to rest. However, at any point of my trip, if I close my eyes I'll get intense CEVs.
The CEVs I get on LSD and Mushrooms are also very different. LSD tends to be very geometric, and I'll get images of myself, faces, entities, and alot of 'busts' of men/women.
Mushrooms tend to be more organic - and quite often, seem to take on the shape of an actual mushroom. On mushrooms, I also often get the sense of a female - it'll form as a giant sphere in the center of my vision and have these arms comming off of it - these arms tend to 'throw' music at me as they rotate. It's like they pick up the notes from beyond my vision then toss them into my face and form other patterns as they drift away.
Psychedelics however, always seem to be VERY visual for me - almost over the top visual, and some times it can actually be hard to move past the visual aspect of my trips simply because it is so intense. However, I've noticed the past few months - the visuals (OEV and CEV) have moved beyond being 'neat', and seem to carry meaning and stories behind them.

Youre really getting in deep when the visuals have meaning. For me, its when expressing yourself becomes harder to do because what you are thinking and the processes your mind is going through are too complex or move to fast to put into words. Although you could choose to do so, it would be a waist of time and not true to form. All words, even thinking them(like internal monologue) just get in the way and slow you down. Like how we dont really need words to understand something, you just use the original logos, the first ones ever used by man. Those types of thoughts seem to occupy cognative space in a very visual way. Psychedelic visuals, seem to be another form of the logos, perhapse an expression of perfection, the frame work of all logic and the golden mean. For me they are perfect and have a good reason to move and change color the way they do, but thats just one of those things that if you were to thoroughly explain it, youd need to write a thick book. It sounds weird, but you can understand these ideas and more In twelve hours, but to write a "thick book", would take a very long time. The visuals can indeed be teachers.
I too have had the experience of visuals throwing all kinds of sounds off at me. In a way I think visuals and audio visuals are one and the same. On a large dose of ayahuasca, when I hit the long peak, my surroundings tightened into a very obvious(intimidating/snarling) spiral. When it would tighten, it would soon loosen, again and again. But when it was becoming tight it sounded like a freight train made of a million brass inturments coming at me. All of these sounds (hundreds, maybee thousands of them) made an over all sound almost EXACTLY like the sound of the tripods in the new war of the worlds movie. It was the most intimidating version of audiovisuals I have ever heard. At the time it could almost have knocked me onto the ground. It had a very obvious tone of authority, a warning, a gatekeeper. To me it was divine.
BY the way I think its kind of cool that you called the sounds radio-head, and one of the first things I thought of while writing this was that there is a radiohead song on OK computer that, as the song trails out all you can hear is what sound like hundreds of computers making love to each other. It sounds very close to a simplified version of how these audio-visuals sound to me.

This is almost exactly what this spiral looked like as it tightened, thats why I painted it. Each insect like segment was in direct relation to the sounds I was hearing. It was also the furthest I will ever go into psychedelic space. I was already amazed by audiovisuals, but these sounds were so loud, and not the typical buzzing heard when you take maois, though im sure the buzzing added a dimention to it.

I believe the song you're referring to is "Karma Police" and yes it does sound similar to what i heard last night. The sounds would bend and distort, had a very electric sound to them also. I even remember thinking of adding a bag pipe into the music, and sure enough i had a bag pipe going, lol. About 2-3 months ago i did 2 hits of acid with 5 grams of mushrooms, i remember hearing loud angelic music which lasted hours also. I really love audio hallucinations, they add a very incredible effect to my trips. I think it may be where Hendrix got a lot of his inspiration for the music he created.
Yes, they are much different to the CEV's i get while peaking or before/after. It happens the last hour of feeling the effects of LSD. Like say the 10-11th hour when I'm laying in bed. While I'm not experiencing the visuals as peaking, it's just simply a white light show. I would describe the light show as if my pupils are flashlights and flicker on and off onto the back of my eye lids. And if i open my eyes they will continue, so that it looks like my room has flashing white lights in it. They speed up and slow down. Its really rather cool and lets me know when the LSD trip is just about finished. Wait for the final light show, then I'll be able to fall asleep. I like it And it feels like my eyes are fluttering.

The first time I really remember the visuals starting to mean something, is when I was on 6 hits of LSD.
I've had deep/meaningful trips before then - but that was more on the mental/reflective level, but not on the visual level.
I was staring at a painting, and it started to unfold - sections of the painting would lift up,(pop off like 3D) unravel, and form a new and more complex picture. Each one increasing in detail, animation and realness.
With each time it lifted/unraveled, I was drawn further into the picture that was unfolding before me.
Eventually, I was 100% immersed into the picture. The world around me ceased to exist, and I was in this place that was absolutely stunning. It had a very Indian look to it - a giant temple in the background, a long road leading up to it with poles lining the road, and on top of the poles were dancing elephants, and some sort of entity was in the center of it.
The world was so real and alive and beautiful. It's simply the most amazing thing I have ever seen while on a psychedelic - it was like a glimpse into paradise. "I" didn't exist in this place - it was just so pure.
Eventually, I came back into my body and was speechless and almost in tears at what I had just seen. It was like my mind had an orgasm and thanked me for letting me show that to it (if that makes any sense).
And, it actually startled me to come back to my body, sitting in my chair, looking at a painting - and this all happened with my eyes 100% open.
Ever since then, the visuals (especially on LSD) seem to have taken on greater meaning. They tell stories and have themes of good and evil, the triumph of man.
I have also noticed that my last few mushroom trips have been far more intense - even at lower dosages. I wont call them 'bad' trips, but very uncomfortable - but not in a bad way - its brining up deeper and more difficult things to deal with, but things I need to work through also. \
