Wet spot start i think

Hey i really hope this isnt the start of wet spot... some grains are nearly exploding with wetness along the top and thats making me thing that im fecked!!!

I soaked for 24hours, pc for 45mins and inoculated in a sterile glovebox, I use a small pollyfill hole in the top about the thickness of a pen and i stuff that pollyfil in. And i use organic rye, i also cover the tops during the pc with tinfoil and only remove it during inoculation and replace and rubber band and dont take it off till the end .... how can wet spot last 45mins in the pc
And heres other jars that i hadnt a clue what wet spot was and just left around, it was pc and then left 2 weeks then i inoculated it and this was the first to show signs of fermintation so maybe thats why

Now i think i got wet spot in my wild bird seed first and didnt know what it was and then i think its spread to my rye and i left the bottom one in my incubator for quiet a while so im guessing that means all my jars are fucked? even tho they have the tinfoil tight around the top and the polly fil?
i cant remember fully but i think in the last grow i got one or two jars who started showing signs of wet spot (like the top pics) but it was only near the end and the mycelium didnt stall
If my source of rye means that 2 weeks after pc it gets wet spot does this mean if i inoculate with lc and get it colonized in 10 days this will stop wetspot? or if i leave the jars a bit drier (even tho they look perfect after pc) and if i pc for 1 n half hours will this help?
or could it be that the tinfoil is making this happen, should i wipe the finfoil with iso alcohol every few days and replace or should i remove it completely?

You should not have foil over the top of grain jars once they come out of the PC. Foil will keep your filter material damp and a wet filter will allow contaminants to colonize through it.
45 minutes is also not long enough to PC rye berries. Leave the weight off the pc for the first ten minutes after steam begins to escape, then put the weight on and build pressure. Don't start counting time until the pressure reaches 15 psi. Allow 75 to 90 minutes at 15 psi, then shut the stove off and walk away. Allow to cool overnight before you open the PC.
No sterilization is absolute. You only have a two to three week window of opportunity to get your grains colonized or you're playing russian roulette with your project. Inoculate as soon as the jars cool to room temperature for best results.
The bottom jar is certainly wetspot bacteria. It is identified by the 'greasy' appearance. It's still a bit early to tell with the top two jars. RR

I smelled them and got a hint of wet spot so tossed them, and thanks for the info about longer pc ... i just done a poo and brf/verm mix and pc for 90mins .... just to over kill going to do this with everything from now on and going to take the foil off once they cool to room temp
Can you over PC any substrate? like if i PC the rye for 2 hours would it pop the kernals or anything?

It won't overcook them, but it's really not necessary to go quite that long with brf, but 90 minutes is recommended with grains such as rye or popcorn. You do have filters in your lids, right? RR

Sorry for assuming you were American lol. Well you can order it or for more money and less work you can get some "synthetic filter disks" from a sponsor.

I like the synthetic filter disks. I have some that are several years old and have a few hundred uses so far. RR
