Salvia propagation

Well Peruvian Spark's post over the last few days (along with many other posts and FAQ reports I've seen) have spurred me into hoping to start a salvia grow this spring. I do have what I consider "acceptable experience with growing many types of plants, and wish to try my hand at this temperamental "sage."
My problem, well not a serious one but rather a speed bump, is that I'm in search of cuttings or seeds of this beauty. I know there's the ethnobotanical exchange at the beginning of these forum, but they haven't had any salvia for quite awhile, and don't seem to be for awhile more.
I know it's shitty to ask for hand outs, or a place to get hand outs, but I've recently dropped the majority (actually all that I could spare) of my funds into my upcoming summer ganja grow, and soon to be mushroom grow. Some might say "well hoe could you spend that much, both are relatively cheap?", but believe me, I did.
Anyways, any help would be MORE than greatly appreciated, and if you can lend me some frees, pm or show me a link where I can find some free cuttings/seeds. I'm also willing to trade some prints after my mushroom grow comes through if need be...
THANKS

Salvia produces like 99.9% unviable seeds, your gonna want to find a cutting.

that's why i was hoping for the same thing when i'll be able to take care for it... i just know if I had a plant i'd do my best to spread it around to people that are interested! just like i'd have no problame providing my friends with prints or cannabis seeds (though i don't have seeds right now... sad story...)
but it does intail a lot more then sending spores on the other hand i bet there are a few generouse like minded shroomerites out there!
good luck!

When you make cuttings put at least one node in the compost. The cutting will root much faster from the node than from a plain piece of stem.
