Take it off after pressure cooking/boiling your jars. I usually throw 2 coffee filters on top and rubber banded in place to help a bit with contams

You can leave the foil on loosely, it's the tape you want to take off the holes.

I take foil off when I put them in incubator. Make sure your incubator is clean and dry when you put them in there.

It's a valid question. In fact some people may tell you it's not neccessary to remove the foil until birthing or spawning the jars.
