I'm going to pasturize a 50/50 mix of straw and Cow Poo. I read that I should pasturize the poo at 160 to 170, and I was told to pasturize the straw at 150-160. Which of these should I do? Also, would I pasturize it the same way as horse poo?(Same time, tek's...etc)

I know Horse poo is better, but if you get a free, unlimited supplly of straw and cow poo mixed together, what's the point of not taking it?

Also, I forgot to ask if there is a higher contamination rate with cow poo as opposed to horse poo?

I have used Cow poo from a dairy farm so many times, it seems to work fine, and it works better if you use finly shreded straw mixed in it....

I now have thought about this... and I have realized that because the Cow poo I get from my dairy has peaces of grain in it, like wheat or rye, not sure. but since it is not sterile, I believe that this is a source for contamination, because of its reasonably high nute content, and pasturization is not sufficent enough to wort off contamination from these grains. so it is to my conclusion that if you use Cow Poo then make sure that it is free of undigested grains. On the Other Hand, Horses eat grains too, but I think that because they have a more efficent stomach that there stomaches break down the grains they eat.( I havent noticed on peice of grain in my horse poo. Please correct me of I am wrong..
