Help MY JARS...
    #5365407 - 03/04/06 06:34 PM (17 years, 10 months ago)

OK I shot up about a dozen WBS jars with cambodian spores. It has been 9 Days and only two have even shown signs of growth, which was about four days ago and no new growth. I've kept them at a constant 84-86 degrees, just dropped it to 82 this morning see if it makes a difference. I used magashes jar setup w/ tyvek. The most black sunflower seeds any jar has is less that 4%. Soaked and/or simmered.. I thought it might have been the water content but i just went to shake em all up again and it seems nice n' moist in there, broke up easy, im quite positive they're not too wet. Man i dunno ive done cambodians on pf cakes b/f n' they where halfway done by now!

And did you shake them right when you took them out of your PC? If you didn't, it takes longer to colonize

I know hippie i need more patience. No water pooled on the bottom. But i guess a little more than 5% of the seeds split during simmer but like i said no water at bottom and they didn't germinate or anything. And yes I did shake them outta the pc.

Just give em another week before worrying, and don't keep looking at them. Your really should only shake them once they are abouy 20%, and then no more.

Why don't you soak for about 24 hours and simmer? Is there something I didn't read about? From what I heard, shaking them too much will shock the mycellum and slow growth, but I could be wrong
