Origin of the term "fundamentalist"

Many people are under the impression that the term fundamentalist refers to radicals who desire to restore things to their fundamental basis, which they think is better. This is incorrect.
In actuality the name refers to a common trait of fundamentalists. Essentially, it refers to the fact that the capability of accessing higher brain functions among them is always limited to the mere fundamental capacity, essentially meaning they are the intellectual "missing link" between monkeys and intelligent humans.
In a nutshell: they are retards.
This has been a Sarcasm? production.

Basically...... their viewpoint is too inflexible to allow for any kind of change, when change is the nature of reality.

Let us also not forget that many put the "mental" in "fundamentalism" as well.
