    #536461 - 01/30/02 11:48 PM (21 years, 10 months ago)

Would it be pk the take a few cakes that have been stored for 2 months and dunk them to be cased after 12 hours or should I just case them? Will dunking hurt anything?

How were they stored?

they were stored air tight in my refrigerator. I have a few casings right now from the same batch of jars fruiting, but there only a few coming up. I was thinking it was because the cakes might be dry from storage. But if thats not the case, would it make sense to do that or a waste of time and possibily harmful?

Okay, give them a 8-12 hours flush. It shouldnt hurt anything even if they didn't need it. Test it out with one jar first, if you feel like it, just to make sure it doesn't get soggy.
