I love the sound tribe key board guy... and the drummer is sweet too!
I've seen STS9 twice live, they fucking ROCK! THe people are genuinly good people there most of the time... It's really funny when the lead guitar guy starts bobbing his head and walking around like a cock rooster... Have fun! I wish I was going... if you are single, the amount of girls that show up will probably amaze you.

I'm not single, but I know all about it. I have seen them many many times, now. I am eager to hear some of their new tunes. I heard a song last night and it sounded nice!

First show I went to I dosed 2 grams Panaleaous Subbalteatus( a very low dose), had two shots and smoked during the show...
The next show I snuck some crown royal in and smoked as well.... it really helps me enjoy it...
I rocked out, dancing for hours on end, until my legs hurt and my sex drive was exploding from all the girls vibes..
It would be great sober, no doubt... so don't get me wrong there :sun:

Yeah, I am currently broke as a joke, but I think I'm gonna have to use the old credit card to buy me some tickets. I want to go to both Asheville shows. I know it's gonna be a real good time...

Tickets are only like 20 bucks. I remember seeing them play back in 1998, when they were travelling around in an old school bus. Saxon used to spin in between sets. There would be like 25 people at the shows. I usually made alot of friends go with me to the shows. They didn't have near the sound equipment that they have now, but they had this one crazy thing that put out sonme of the craziest noises that you'll ever hear. Plus, they had a computer projection machine that did some wild patterns on the walls. Always had a good time with these guys!

Alrighty. I leave in about an hour for New Orleans.:dancing: We have a room at the Marriot, on Canal. Danksis is going in for the first set, while I watch Elijah and I am going in for the 2nd set and encore. Our babysitter wasn't able to make it down to go with us, so we are having to wing it. It's all good, though. I am excited as hell! The hotel is only like a block from the House of Blues, too!:dancing:

i'm definitely interested in getting a copy of the video.

i'll see them at the end of this tour, in detroit (and maybe columbus the night before, but i was thinking, if i'm going to do that much driving, i might as well go to chicago the night before for bisco) - and saw them a couple of times at the end of the winter tour.

i'm sure you'll have a great time. :sun:

You guys should just do what all the other hippies do and just bring the baby in a knapsack thing. But then again theres all types of strange people fucked up out of thier minds wandering around not exactly the best environment for a youngster. I always thought it was wierd when I went to shows I would see babys in rucksacks and 6-7 year olds dancing around to the music with thier parents smoking joints. Just a complete culture shock from the way I was brought up is all not that theres anything wrong with it. It's still not something I would choose for my kids. I have been to some shows that were LOUD as hell and saw a baby maybe ten feet from a monitor I know that shit was fucking up my ears imagine a baby.

the only problem with bringing a baby to a soundtribe (or similar) show would be the smoke if the show is indoors, and people are allowed to smoke cigs in the venue. otherwise, just keep your eye on them and don't get (too) drunk and it should be alright.

i wish my parents took me on tour as an infant

I think the sound decibel levels would be outragously high for a babys ears especially without protection. Wouldn't want your baby to be deff before it could even understand and appreciate the music his self though ya know?

that's true, i didn't think about the loud noise. although a good set of earplugs should remedy that.

i know these people who had a litter of puppies in their basement, right next to where 3 different bands rehearsed weekly. needless to say, the entire batch of dogs are semi-deaf :frown:

Oh damn, I'm excited! I got tickets to both Smasheville shows, 21st and 22nd. And after last night's Robert Randolph show, I am in the groove. Seriously, I can ride the sonic wave of Randolph's steel guitar for the rest of the summer if needed, but the blissful beats of STS9 are gonna make the summer that much hotter, ya know?
blissed-hope you guys have a great time, dance your ass off! Peace - TT

Can I get a link to the tour dates? Is there anything in S. FL? I really don't know anything about them but would go see almost any show espicially the smaller club venues which this sounds like its at.

When Elijah is 6, he will definitely be going to shows with us! They make special ear plugs for kids. He's going where we go. Well, I have to get on the road. I'll report beck from the hotel room. Peace.

Hey people. I just got back from the Big Easy. We had a great time and we both got to see a little bit of the show. We didn't have a babysitter, so I watched Elijah while Danksis went in and watched the 1st set. When the 1st set was over, she came back to the room and I went and saw the 2nd set. We stayed at the Marriot, so we were only about a block and a half away from the House of Blues. The show was great, too! I wish we could have seen the whole show, but what can you do? We also met David Murphy(Murph) outside the venue, when we went to get our will call tix. He said hey to Elijah and gave these kids that were there a fat, pretty nugget. Then, when I was on the way down to see the 2nd set, I met David the keyboardist outside the venue! After the show, I hung out for awhile, because DS was already crashed out. I got super shitty drunk and appreciated the French Quarter for it's legacy of alcoholism. At around 4am I finally returned to our room and passed out. That bed was so freaking comfortable! This morning we got up and wandered around the Quarter and went and ate beignets and drank iced coffee at Cafe DuMonde:drooling:. All in all, it was a pretty awesome trip.

Now, I can't wait to go to the Birmingham show!:dancing: There are nuggets waiting for me there, too. Which is a great thing, because I am down to about a gram.

Nah, they were running the metal detector wand over everybody. I wouldn't have made it in with the camera. I will be filming thr Birmingham show, though.

Alright people, I am about to jump in the shower and then, I am hitting the road for Birmingham. I know the Workplay venue like the back of my hand and I am getting there hella_early to set up at one of the balcony tables. I'll report back, after the show.

I am 95% sure that I will tape the whole show. The 5% factor is the security, but the Workplay is pretty chill, once you get in. It's also a nonsmoking facility. They have a bar area that is in a separate room, that you can smoke at. It also has tvs in there so you won't miss any of the show. I will get back with you all, when I get to my friend's house, after the show. Peace.

Good morning, people!! The show last night was the best one that I have seen,  in awhile! I  got  the whole thing  on film, too. It is a fucking GREAT recording,  too!!  I am quite proud of myself, actually. :patmyselfonback: AneWay2sayhooray was  there and we  went over to one  of  my froend's house and puffed down, after the show. We really had an amazing time! I met  all  of the band, outside the venue,  before  the show andmet the  drummer's(Zack Velmer) mom and  grandmother! I  was  like  in complete  awe!  She  has  seen them like 30 something times, too and  she's probably 65, or  older!

Anyway,  Krishna, you will get the  first copy of  the  dvd when they get  made.  I had a setlist, but it got lost, along  with my sharpie, on the set break.  I know most of the first set, but the 2nd set Iwill  have to ask about,  because they played some songs that  Ii didn't know the name  of.

1st set:
GLOgli
a NEW SONG  THAT i DON'T KNOW  THE NAME OF
Movement for  My Peeps
Blu Mood
Lo Swagga
Peoples

a new tune, huh? and i look forward to seeing the video!

i was hanging out with this girl (whom i'm trying to see if things might go somewhere with  ) last night, and talking about the show in detroit coming up in a couple of weeks - she has to babysit her sister's kid, but got somebody to watch him during hte show, and offered me a place to crash afterwards  anyway, she's pretty sure she'll head to colorado after the detroit show, to catch them in boulder and meet up with some friends. i've really got the summer tour itch already, but need to save up some more cash before i bail out for a few months
