Well I trip out more post-trip than I do on the actual trip (shrooms)

Well I had an intense high dose shroom trip recently, and hadn't even smoked weed since then (this was probably about a week ago). The other day I blazed for the first time post trip, and WOW. Like fuck was I tripping (on the weed).
Then I came to a conclusion. I was actually tripping MORE with the weed than I did with shrooms, and we're talking like...7-10 grams here. I realized that with the exception of a few shroomy hallucinations, my main "trip" was simply utter insanity. Also I realized that my 7-10 gram trip didn't even compare to my first trip (of 1.8 grams) trip wise, the only thing that made it more intense was that I lost my mind on the larger dose.
I was going to say that these newer mushrooms were less potent, but then why did I trip out so bad (or should I say good) the next time I smoked weed? I miss that old type of shroom trip, I'll admit it's not as spiritual as an awakening of the mind, but sometimes I just wanna have a good fun trip.
Does anyone know the reason why weed can now trip me out more than shrooms? It's a bummer, but I guess in a way it's good because insted of getting one major shroom trips, I get a bunch of minor ones after the initial trip is done. So meh, what can ya do. I'm not even sure if this post makes sense, cause I'm that ripped, and if it doesn't, then you have my appologies.

this happens.... most likely you did very little resisting mentally and emotionally on the trip and your ego got wore very thin. In this world a thin ego is a fragile thing being most humans don't know how to embrace a fragile ego and they end up crrrrazy hahaha.
You are just more in the moment, more aware and more sensitive that you've probebly been in a long time so things like cannabis are really going to effect you. My personal advice is to trip again, do a medium dose alone or with a good friend that won't mind you tripping out, that you feel safe and "real" with.. and take this "gratuitous grace" of the psychedelic experience to it's epitome. Most of the time on our first "high dose' experience, it's just soo strange and paradoxical to our conditioned idea of self and reality that we just don't embrace the healing effect of it on our psyche.. so we end up comming out of the first, second trip a bit bewildered and overwelmed.. it's normally on the second or third trip (done close together) that we "find the now" and awaken to this beautifull moment we have to embrace and experience and share
You are walking into a reality that is very different from the conseptual physical reality and self you've been told we are. A space that is much more diverse, limmitless, open and uncertain hence full of potential than we have come to belive. Waking up out of that static space can be scary but it can also be heaven...
If you choose not to go down this road, in time you will level back out, your ego will assimilate and harden and you will move on... sadly cannabis might never be the same for you cause it will remind your ass of the place where your borders started to disolve ... but the fragile state you are in will slowly return to "daily" reality.
Disclaimer.. this is just a quick upchuck of my personal take on his situation. so take it with a grain of salt, take in all the advice comming your way and come to your own understanding.

btw... cannabis has taken on a psychedelic quality ever since I started using psychedelics. That doesn't mean it's always overwelming ect.. but my awareness and experience is always very intense when I smoke, especially if I eat it hahaha. I've found that I enjoy cannabis at much lower levels than I used too, many time one or two small puffs is enough to start me off, and it's introspective qualities quickly fade away after the first high, just like it always has.. after that it becomes more of a relaxant... it's just that first high that is profound.. and really I've come to really only go after that first session, then I put it down for a week or so and then do it again.. I've found it has a wonderfull healing quality to emotional stress (of daily wage slavery life) when used "properly" in my situation.

That makes sense, I was a lot more troubled on the shrooms so to speak, not fighting it or having a bad trip, but I guess I wasn't exactly in a happy mindset for the most part. I'm sure the mellow bliss of cannabis is a lot less mentally troubling.
Edit- in regards to your second post, I'm the exact same way. Way back in the day when I just smoked pot, I'd always want to smoke A LOT. Even after having a 2 gram session with a few friends I was always upset because I wanted to smoke more. Now 2 hits of good weed from a good bong and I'm set for a few hours at least.
