Tassies Cased - prob's
    #536098 - 01/30/02 05:55 PM (14 years, 10 months ago)

Hey, I have only about 9 nice fruits coming up from a cased tasmanian cake. The sides are coming off the walls. There are a few growing up from the sides from under the casing between the walls. I think it dried out because I have a big light over the chamber. I was wondering what I can do. I will wait for the fruits to mature and harvest those. The middle of the casing looks like it could be dead.....the fruits are coming up the sides. Should I pick these when they're ready, deep scratch the damaged mycelia in the middle, add casing in the gaps on the sides and mist until moist again for a hopeful bigger second flush? Thanks

yeah it sounds like your casing got shriveled up form lack of moisture. Your plans sound good. I would pick the shrooms, and fill the gaps with damp verm, then up the humidity as much as you can.

Casing may dry out but i doesnt die - give it a scratch after you pic those fruits on the sides and then turn the light off (you dont need it) and keep the casing moist from now on
