Tight lids

Well this after noon after PC'ing my jars I read a post that said that you should leave the lids a little loose. Of course, as my luck would have it, I tightend my lids before cooking. I taped some jars but I left some jars untaped. Should I even bother innoculating these jars or should I toss them and start over?

Well it depends, what are you using PF or wbs.
If it is PF you should be fine.
If it is WBS then you should 'vent' the jars in a glove box.
The jars could have vacuum inside, so when you open the jars it will suck in air, now you want to do that in a glove box and remember not to stick your syringe in the jar with there is vacuum otherwise it will suck you syringe dry.
Good Luck

Typically people have some kind of filter (Tyvek, polyfil) in the lids of their jars.
If you have one of these, don't worry about it. The pressure has already been equalized.

I am using PF(brf/verm)
This is a stupid question and i will probably get made fun of for this but oh well - what does "wbs" stand for? Sorry, it's been a real long time since I tried my hand at this after failing many, many times. But now I know what(or at least mostly) what I was doing wrong and think that I have remedied most if not all my probs. Or so I thought.

WBS= wild bird seed. We are all adults here we don't make fun of anyone asking questions only those who seem to think they know it all but are really full of shit and believe me it is totally obvious to those of us here who do know are shit.

Awesome, thanks for the reassurance and helpfulness. Now I know why I came back to this site after a few year hiatus.

One more thing, when cooking my second batch of jars I accidently dozed of and the stayed in for an extra 30 min(about 1.5 hours) there was still plenty of water when I opened the lid and it looks as though the substrate didn't burn or dry out, atleast there was no visual damage. I wouldn't think that only an extra 30 min would hurt, if anything it might help. Am I right in this thinking?
