Here's what happened

I soaked my WBS for 24 hours, then I loaded them up in my jars. The next day as i'm about to PC them all the seeds began to sprout, they all had a tiny taproot starting to come out. I cooked them anyway and they came out looking normal, no more sprouts, they all got nuked up I guess.
Think they will work? I'm only going to inject two to see what happens.

this is one of them deals like ford vs chevy but i simmer rather soak i have a big pot i use for beer brewing with a thick metal bottom to spread the heat out and keep things from burning thy are costly but worth it if you have a cheap pot with a thin bottom you will have to watch the heat more close and stir more . i make it like you would cook rice. i put 1 cup of rye in the pot for each quart jar i am doing and then fill with water till the rye is just barley covered and simmer for an hr or till all but the the smallest amount of water is left, after stirring up real good that last bit will get mixed in, then i use a 16oz plastic cup to fill the jars the same kind you would get at a keg party, it works out great no waste and not to full then presser cook for an hr . also when i simmer the rye i add some stuff the i have found make a great improvement in spawn speed and heath
i add 1 600 mg Calcium pill per 2 jars(used this one night because i was out of plan calcium carbonate) calcium is very important to the metabolic functions of mushrooms the type i use is a generic Caltrate the bottle has 500 ,600mg tablets for like 8 bucks
i add 1 multivitamin for every 7 jars the vitamin i use is the equate version of centrum it has lycopene
i add 1 tablespoon of twin labs nutritional yeast for each 7 jars this yeast has like every amino acid and B vitamins it also has tryptophan witch has been said to increase magic levels this stuff really make a big diff i use the yeast from my home brew when i have it works just as good
lastly i add 2 table spoons of pellitized gypsum or 1 stick of white black board chalk for each 7 jars black board chalk is not "chalk"calcium carbonate but rather is Calcium sulfate or gypsum aka sheet-rock gypsum anti clumping agent its add to clay soil to break it up, it makes shaking jars easyer adds Calcium and sulfur witch mushrooms need both
i have a mortar and pestle i use to grind all the stuff up in to a fine powder and stir it in just after the water gets added
as for the D in the calcium and the licopen in the muti vita i only told you that because the most pop brand have it and write it in big letter on the bottle it does not hurt growth VS pills with out it.i don't know if thy help but it works great for me my grain to grain transfers take about 7 days to fully colonize at 84 degrees

More than likely your seeds will have more nutrients available to the mycelium now. What you have now is basically malted bird seed! Be happy! I'd like to try using malted WBS against regular WBS in a trial. Maybe one day..

it will be more gumy and supper sticky. malting is just that and you dont want all that simply suger in there it greatly increases your chances for contamance, and micilly has plenty of emzimes neaded to break down the starch (polysaccharides) in simple sugars (monosaccharides) and does not need you to do it
