Yea, depending on what kind(I have a Nesco) You should be able to turn it down to 95 degrees. Although Ive read the is no potency loss even if you put it up to about 120 or 130, although I wouldn't. I do mine at 95, it just takes about 8 hours, depending on yeild size.

You also want them Cracker dry. The stems take a lot longer to dry than the caps, so don't think about pulling them out too early. They can sometimes feel dry on the outside and still be wet on the inside, so be careful.

Yeah there shouldn't be a loss in potency but why chance it, if there is a setting thing on there keep it at 95. If you have a big pile of shrooms you might want to leave it in there for 12-16 just to make sure they are cracker dry.
You cant over do it with a dehydrator.

i always feel sketchy leaving the dehydrator running especially if i leave the house.
im drying right now and i have it in the same room im in just cause im so paranoid of it catching fire some how
has this ever happened to anyone.. or am i being retarded? is there any like safety devices in the nesco dehydrators that prevent it from bursting into flames, burning down my house and exposing a foaf's operation? :puts on tin cap:

Good quality dehydrators like NESCO, are UL approved. I have had one running for 24/7 two weeks straight, without EVER a problem.
