Hey, i got some spores from thehawkseye.
Anyway, the strains were B+, Thai, Austrailian, and Equador.
The main problem is... the Thai was contaminated, so we wont talk about that.
My Aust. started turning pinkish (real even.. almost as if the AGAR was turning color, not growing anything)
and the Eq's show no sign of growth

but the B+ took right the fuck off.
All were inocuated to PDA pitre dishes on the 22nd
here we are the 30th, and the B+ is doing well, in fact, it has been xferred into more agar, and a sucrose agar as well as a liquid ME solution.
Anyhow, how long should i let these other 3 strains go?
i can't undetstand why the B+ took off so fast, and the others had so many problems.
I think i will email Ryche with the batch number on the one that is contaminated, after i try it once more in another pitre.

Damn, I have a Thai syringe coming from The Hawkseye, hope it isn?t contaminated! So lets talk about that. Did you get a spore print or a syringe. What did the Thai do that tipped you off to it being contaminated. How long after inoculation did it take to notice the problem? Is it possible your sterilization system failed somewhere? Sorry bout all the questions but I'm new and don?t want to kill myself or waste time on bunk spores.

Most vendors will replace contaminations or falty products.

Whats your batch number on the Thai? My friend just cultured some thai from t.h.e. that arrived in the mail last week on PDA. So far good growth with no contaminates. I will check with my friend when I see her next and try to get the batch number and exact thai strain she has.
