wooo
My first grow I did a casing and a cake and will never waste the myc on a cake again  tho the little I left in the jar for in-vitro gave me over 7g dry, so I'm doing it again this round as it looks nice on my desk
Great job

that does look amazing man......i tried a casing once though and lost 7 cakes, just stopped colonizing. i was under the impression that it was just like a cake wait until its fully colonized then put in the fruiting chamber i was wrong but i read up on overlay and thats what prolly happened seems too comlicated and stuck to cakes ever since but after that pic im thinking of retrying

well i try to crumble the wbs as little as posible. case with coco coir and verm about 50/50 i never measure. wait a few days patch and put in the fc. lots of light makes more pins. i also never incubate. the jars or the case it only caused me problems in the past.

Cakes will preform fine if you get the moisture content perfect.
But, IMO, with cakes, it is hard to balance perfect RH and FAE. Too much FAE and you lose your RH. Not enough FAE, and you get slow growth. Also, anything bigger than half-pint cakes seems to be so slow colonizing, you lose all your moisture by the time they are ready to birth. Now poo cakes, that looks fun...
