Intel here, I have multiple programs running all the time, so the hyperthreading thing helps...

I've always had Intel and have never had a problem so they'll always have my business.

My amd fx-55 runs flawlessly and its great for gaming. Being that its my first non-intel processor, i'm glad i switched over.

I would have said Intel for the hyper threading, but now AMD has a dual core for under $300, thats multitasking goodness.

AMD 4 life, I swear they run faster/smoother than equivalent or higher clocked Intel chips.

AMD keeps coming in first to market with the important innovations. Their high-end chips have the best performance period, and their budget chips have the best performance for the buck. I haven't used an Intel since the 486 days, and I can't see any reason to go back.

i gotta go with intel simply because they have the best process technology and will pretty much always have their shit in the us. as i doubt they will trust their sensitive technologies in foreign countries. also not to forget their founders invented the transistor, so they know their shit.
