So I found these 2 gallon containers with the following ingredients:
Fur bark mulch Sphagnum peat Vermiculite
It was listed as being perfect for Orchids and such. I know orchids love the acidic soils so what would you think about neutralizing with crushed oyster and using it for a ready-made casing mix?
It's only 3.95 per bucket....maybe I should give it a try.
Thoughts?

Methinks....you'd be a LOT better off without the mulch. I'd stick to peat/verm.

What are the ratios? Doesn't sound too bad, I find its cheaper to make my own casing medium, did you already buy it? If so I don't think it would hurt to try it out...

I did not buy it...I wanted to ask here first. I am no sure about the mlch as I am not interested in wood lovers. I understand B+ is not a wood lover.
I DID buy some regular peat, I may buy a bucket of that other when I am more established.
Thanks!

Hhaha, you are just like me. Always seeing something intersting and contemplating the purchase of it. AAANyway, the mulch is a bad idea from what I have read.
The ratios are important, because more than likely, its not a 50/50 mix of verm and peat, thus making you mess with the other ingredients anyway.
