I'm So Upset i Could Cry... DAMN U BERNARDIN!!!!

So 1 Month of hard work and care for my BRF Cakes and they were all a couple of the 6 were colonized.. I decided to dunk one and not the other and to birth them ahead of the others... WELL :frown:

I was unable to get the damn dunked cake out.. I hit and hit and g force shook and couldn't even budge the damn thing so then I got mad and shit and went at it with a butter knife!.. My sterility went stright to shit right there, I sliped too on the knife and skratched all the white off the top of the cake.. then I had to press all the sides and basically force that fuckin bitch out.. I'm sooo sad I could cry.. I've got another 4 cakes just waiting to come out.. and don't even know what to do with the colonized one that I didn't roll.. Is this cake fucked? What should I do??.. Why the hell is this mason jar so shit?!.... I'm pretty upset right now.. sorry guys

Why didn't you just dunk it in tupperware? Just put it in the fruiting chamber and let it heal.

If it's seriously cut to pieces, you could experiment with making a small casing. I'm sure it's not as bad as you're thinking it is, in any event. Consider that casings require a person to break the cake into tiny pieces, and the myc bounces right back. It'll be OK!

I used bernardin jars too when I did my first cakes. SAME THING, there is a slight bulge in the middle of the jar..as I'm sure your aware. And it makes it damn near impossible to get the cakes out. I did basically the same thing as you. Slipped a flat blade inside the jar and squished the cake until it came out.

There was some bruising. Pinning took over a week. But it happened none the less and I was very pleased with my results.

I've got my fingers crossed the scratch at the top does not get contamed.. I did a lil h202 h20 mist in my FC to help kill any airborn crap.. The waiting game starts.. Tnx again for the reassuring words guys.. I wish I can sue those jar makin bastards.! I know now that with my new spores I should get some new jars!..
