Misting Mystery

Where exactly are you supposed to mist? I have 2 spray bottles with adjustable nozzles but they don't make a fine enough mist. It shoots it out pretty forcefully and I'm afraid if I aim it too close to the casing it'll get waterlogged. Should I stand back a little bit and fire in that direction? I mean how much direct water can a casing layer take and what's the best way to make sure I don't over-mist?

mist upwards in the air and let it fall to the surface of the casing

Set it for as fine a spray as you can, then spray up so the mist gently falls on the casing layer. Don't spray direct. Several light mistings over a few hours are much better than one heavy misting. RR

I personally spent like friggin 45 minutes in walmart looking for a decent damn spray bottle, so in case you're not sure to where check I'd like to spare you the frustation I felt.
Head towards the section with irons and ironing boards in walmart. I believe it's a 12oz, transluscent clear bottle. It sprays a pretty damn fine mist. It works well and it's $0.97, plus I've found it in 2 different wal-marts, so I'm assuming all will have it.

I bought one at K-mart specifically made for misting plants. It was like 1.62 i think. Works great.

A good place to do your sprayings is your bathtub. Just clean it out real good with bleach and then mist your casings in there. That way the water that doesn't go in the casing will just go in the tub and not all over your house or grow room.

Hey bro misting plants and misting mushrooms are two totally different species! We don't recommend things just because. For a few bucks more you can be like the pro's! The pro's that don't have fully automated grows that is! LOL
