Be patient, it may not do anything to the seed. 3 days is really nothing...

I do, too. After all, if they sprout normally, you feel good. If they sprout when you think they aren't likely to, you feel AWESOME!

Just keep it warm for them, an old fridge is what I used to use as a bottom source of heat.

my advice to you is figure out what you are doing before you even give growing marijuana a try, you know, have that complete confidence in what u are doing, have no more questions. you aint even to the vegetative stage and you have questions...not good man.
seedlings will be damaged if not completely killed from the fertilizer in miracle grow. you do NOT want to fertilize seedlings. doubt it is a ph problem. its that damn chemical fertilizer in it.
theres more to growing marijuana than planting a seed, you need to read a lot more BEFORE planting them seeds man. good luck with your future grows, but know what ur doing first, its kind of key

Good deal, that's not bad. I bought the dankest sack i've had since i went canada, that my friend grew and found FOUR seeds in it, so i have those going atm. Goooooood times. I love springtime so so so so so so much!!! It's a total rebirth of energy. I need to go on a good hike soon, with my cute female friend.

i sprout seeds in paper towel or vermiculite, i put them someplace warm and dark. and make sure they have filtered air exchange. (plastic wrap with polyfill hole)
when they start putting out a root i stick them root down into clean soil.

Here is my deal: I really really really hate paying for quality tomatoes, BUT I really really dislike the risks involved with pests in growing my own tomatoes... so, you dig. Basically, my current situation would limit me to tomato seeds from the grocery store. Average medium sized tomato seeds. I feel like the male to female ratio of my seeds may make it not worth my efforts. Growing clones and having a mother tomato plant is not an option
HOW CAN I OPTIMIZE FEMALE SEEDS? I've heard 'urban rumors' such as floating techniques, depth of plating( like deeper planted, more likely female) etc.
I want to do it, but what are my odds, with say, 20 random tomato seeds how many will be self pollinating?>

There's no real way to determine what sex a tomato plant will be until it begins to flowering (Especially outdoors) , its a simple 50/50 split with the seeds. As for self pollinating... you don't want to stress your girls now do you? You have two options I guess, the first being the most unsatisfactory, but easiest... Simply let the plants live on their own with a little less than all the TLC you can give it, and this hopefully give a minimal amount of stress that will let the plant produce a few male flowers and this will give you some nice seeds, with a slight drop in the flavor and size of the fruit. Either that or just keep cull all but 1 male plant, and collect its pollen before it spreads, and then brush this pollen onto select fruits, possibly the small, slower growing of the fruit, as to not sacrifice fruit strength.
