monotub - polyfill or micropore tape holes?

Micropore tape in this situation would be a hell of alot easier and it DOES breath, but does it breath the same amount as polyfil?
Anyone used micropore tape instead of polyfill for their tubs before?

I used Tyvek instead of polyfil before and it worked, but IMO, not as good as it would have with polyfil. All three are breathable, but it seems like polfil is the most breathable.

Agreed, I use polyfill over the others for that reason. Grain jars, fruiting tubs, anything--it's the good stuff.

how could it be easier, the polyfill you simply jam into the hole, the tape you have to cut to size, tape to the tub .. i dont see how it oculd be any easier. peace ohm

Well ok, be an ass. lol.
How about less consipcuous? Extra room for the shrooms to grow instead of growing into the polyfill?
But either way, I was just curious as to if it would work. After seeing advice from a fellow grower a while back, who suggested using micropore tape instead of polyfill, I decided I would ask.
Thanks for the help?

That's why I tried it. It's a bitch to pull those little polyfil hairs off of the mushrooms, but the extra FAE seemed to make big difference in flush size/pin set.
Maybe hook up a little filtered fan inside of the tub on a timer. I think this would push some of that air out if you wanted to use micropore, without any contam problems.
Of course, I keep hearing Roger Rabbit say to not put anything over the holes in mono/double tubs anyway, so maybe you want to give that a shot.

Fooman, did RR ever reply to your inquiry as to how the Double/mono tub would maintain humidity without some sort of filter in the holes?
