I was going to mail out some poo today, but its kinda wet. i know in pasteurization you dont want to go over 180 b/c bacterial blooms.
can i just spread some poo on a cookie sheet and bake it on low for a while to dry it, or will that mess it up

Im not a pro, But that is exactly what I did today, It looks fine to me. Is it fresh or did you buy it? I bought mine and set the oven on the lowest setting, I have a thermometer and did not let it go past 160. Hope this helps you!

I live near fields of cattle. I just go around and pick up whatever old, dry patties are sitting around. Especially if they have actinomycetes (white stuff)!
Sending wet poo in the mail could result in 1)rotting, 2)bad smells which make postal workers angry/suspicious, and 3)increased package weight.

If that's the poo you're supposed to be sending me, that'll be fine. Just dry it out, don't toast it. If low setting gets too hot, crack the oven door a little to let out excess heat. I'm glad to see you care.

right, thats why i dont want to send it wet, and want to know if drying in the oven would create a bacterial bloom. Ive got some dry stuff, but wanted to ship today, thus wanting to dry it back out quickly. any suggestions on this

So you want to avoid sterilizing the poo... Well, just make sure that your oven is set at <190F or so. Mine goes down to 150F.
Or if the RH outside is low today, set it out in the sun, layered thinly.
