It Worked!

Last night I made a post concerning BRF cakes and how to boil out the psilocibin out of the cake. It ended up being one of the hardest times Ive ever tripped (one old spent half pint cake was equivilent to at least a quarter of dry shroomies ) ANYWAYS, nobody wanted to help me with my question. So, I'll ask a different one and maybe someone has some USEFULL info (Please don't tell me that I'm stupid for doing this) Okay, all that aside, my question is:
If I boil the psilosibin out of an old, spent cake(that will not produce more mushies), how long will this drink last and how should I store it?
Thanks again and please don't take this as I am bitching, This place helps out alot. Keep it up.

You've eaten a 1/4 oz of dry shrooms to compare to your spent half pint jar?

I doubt that it will last long. I've made tea before, and within a few days it was completely inert. Better drink up. RR

No not noticibly, I was kinda in my own world, watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I didn't notice any bubbling, only good times!

Well, I got about 10 more spent cakes. Could I vacuum seal those for a couple of weeks and just make the drink as I need to?

Yea, it was ground up brown rice (to the flour texture) mixed with coarse vermiculite. Damn good trip

I didn't even touch the vermiculite. What I did was break up the cake with my fingers into already boiling water. I then turned down the temp a little, comparable to medium high(the water should be boiling, comparable to medium high) I just let that boil for 10 minutes and then put a coffee filter in a colander and poured the water/ cake mix into it.(Probably should use a bowl to collect the water) After the water goes through the coffee filter, all you have in your bowl is a sort of peach colored water, which I used in some Chai Tea (GREAT TASTING)! I didn't even taste anything else other than the Chai Tea.

I don't know if the fact that Ive had the cakes for about 2 1/2 to 3 onths matters (Ive heard that the mycellum only gets stronger)

Try eating one like an apple, delicious. If you vaccuum sealed the cakes so that they were nice and tight I'm sure you could freeze them for several weeks. I could be wrong but I don't think it would hurt.

Yeah I wouldn't recommend eating those cakes like apples. They taste more like "rotting flesh, mixed with rotten garbage". (As my friend put it) I was hanging out with my friend and he couldn't wait for my parents to go to bed, so he went along and ate it. It took him like 3 or 4 full glasses of juice to get it down. He said it was really sick. I just waited a half hour and boiled it and tasted nothing. Well worth the wait and it happened to kick in in about 15 or 20 minutes, which is a bonus

I also want to know if freezing them while vacuum sealed would make them stay fresher for longer. I think they are on the verge of getting the mean greens within a week or so.

They were sitting for 3 months and now you feel like they could be getting the mean greens within a week? How could you possibly know that. Why didn't you actually grow mushrooms with these jars? I'm curious because there are a bunch of good reasons why 99.9999% of people who have gone to the trouble of colonizing jars (esp 3 months) take the extra 2 weeks or so to fruit them.
