has anyone ever tried using an airpump to supply air circulation for cakes or small casings? Ive recently been experiancing great results using a 5 gallon fishtank pump to supply o2 for a 5x5x3inch sterlite pencil case. (fyi: the casing medium is verm/composted manure), so far in the past 3 days ive experianced rapid colonization (almost 90%). And am pretty happy. (no contamination as of yet).
i'll post some pics if anyone cares to look...
pretty much just basic stuff, drilling an inlet hose and an outlet hose for circulation for pretty much any situation.
so i dunno, i guess i was just wondering if anyone else has tried this and enjoyed their results or had terrible results. thanks!

im going to end up doing this and running the pumps 24/7 on my next run. i plan on having one pump on the bottom of my FC to pump C02 out and one on the outside to pump fresh air in.

Just the other day I made a contraption out of a flavor-injector full of polyfil, and 2 airpumps forcing air through it. I then stuck the flavor-injector's mega-huge needle into my resealing silicon injection hole, and left it there for an hour or so.
It's pretty cool

i actually been using the pump system for a while and it worx FABULOUS! beautfuly fast growth when the moisture is right. this is key! i use it in all stages, mycelium on seed to poo to casing of coco n verm. keepin the temp right takes a little time... <--worth the time ;-) i even open up my double-tub once a day to check growth, give a shake, and allow for additional air exchange. anyway, best of luck, peace.
