Psychedelia in the brain?

Reading a couple of other posts about people getting sounds and stuff in their head when they are tripping... and was just wondering what you're take might be on my situation.
I will blink sometimes, and when I close my eyes, I feel a type of intense fluttering like right behind my eyes. It almost feels like my brain is vibrating. It happens off and on, and I have heard it pretty much happens due to lack of sleep, but some days I'll feel real fucking perky and it will still happen... who knows, am I crazy? Anybody else get this?
Peace, Stifler

sounds you normally hear.....the ringing your brain normally ignores...... it can end up like some strange ambient noise weirdness (kinda like mr leary with a moog!) usually only when moving to level 4 or above... yum

Not sure if this is realted or not. But, this normally happens when I am trying to fall alseep after smoking weed - I tend to get CEV's now when I do that.
It sort of looks like a field of blue bubbles (some time it'll be rainbow coloured, but 9 times out of 10, its blue and/or purple), and an animated thing starts to form with the bubbles.Think, that special effect in The Mummy, where the face forms in the wall of water - Not as detailed, but similar idea, the bubbles are constantly moving/shifting size/etc, and it starts to form an animation.
Typically, it looks like a lizzard type creature crawling on 4 legs towards me constantly.
Now and then, it will seem to "jump" out of the visual and come into/at me - and it will lead to a weird "zing" feeling in my brain that I cant quite describe.
and, when it does the weird jump thing - it turns to more of a very detailed outline of it instead of being consiting of moving bubbles.

It is quite random but it happens periodically. This is something that happens when I'm not psychedelic, more like when I've been smoking or just randomly when I'm hanging out. Odd.

Pretty random. It's like the visual increases in intensity/clarity untill it 'pops' - this period can take a long time to happen, or it can happen a few times in fairly quick sucession.

That sleep thing happens to me too. In fact when I start to actually fall alseep, I don't go fully to sleep, I go into a weird state of semi-conciousness. In this state, I can still think but I feel as though I'm asleep. Although I can still think when I'm in this state, I usually can't concentrate on anything. My thinking process becomes very similar to what happens when someone takes a heavy dose of acid or other psychadellics. It's also very hard to get out of this state, I have to sort of my force myself to wake-up. It's very, very annoying because it can take hours going into that state and forcing myself to wake-up again before I actually fall into a deep sleep. My friends say I'm a light sleeper, but i don't what my problem is.
Oh and this usualyl only happens if I try to fall alseep with th elights on or I try to fall alseep while I'm still on drugs (usually pot).

If you rub your eyes you can see visuals most clearly during and after intoxication. And no, those designs are not because of bloodflow, although they may be accentuated by them in one way or another when you press on your eyes.
