Sunday Morning Thread 2.26.06

My girlfriend's in the kitchen whipping up eggs and bacon for me and her dad and then I'm headed back into the city to pick up a fat sack of nugs and smoke the night away...gonna rent Crash and have a roast chicken dinner with grilled veggies and garlic mash with my two favorite ladies in the world (my girlfriend and her roommate). Hope everyone else is having a glorious Sunday.

I woke up hours ago, had a cup of coffee, stretched out a bit and went for a short run.
I think this wonderful weather calls for some disc golf this afternoon.

I'm jealous. It's frigid and frozen here. And the disc golf course have the baskets taken down and are for cross country skiing only.

No, I haven't heard that rumor, but I hope it's true!
Good morning everyone! I got up at about 8, but I have been hanging out with Elijah and watching I, Robot. I was letting Danksis sleep a little, because she didn't get much sleep, last night. It is a beautiful, sunny day and I have a birthday party to go to in about 2 hours. I have some coffee brewing and a small amount of beasters(meh). I hope you all are having a fine day.

I'm drinking coffee and handling my shroomery fix. Sporting my nifty new fitted black cap which is a nice feeling for someone going bald... my hats are my new hair.
Later today, turkey breastesizzz and stuffing, some nuggly nuggs, possibly a few grams of shrooms if the weather brightens up.
I spent my first waking hours today reading "Acid Dreams" by Martin A. Lee and Bruce Shlain.... it's strange to learn the CIA started MK-ULTRA long before LSD was even considered to be a recreational drug.

I just woke up and it's my day off...sleeping in was excellant. Usually I'm up by 6. I've thought about what I want to do today, but I'm not sure which options I'll choose. I'd like to go to the dog park with Bambi and my one-hitter. Nothing like catching a buzz in the forest while your dog spazzes out on the trails. Then I was thinking about taking her to the groom shop to shave her. Or reading a book, which I haven't done in centuries.
Hoping everyone else is having a pleasant day too!

I wish I coulda wake-n-baked today but the kid we usually get pot from up here where my girlfriend's parents live is off in New Jersey following the Disco Biscuits around while eating copious amounts of acid and ecstasy.

Hello! Good morning everyone.
I'm posting away from home this morning. I'm in California enjoying this perfect weather with some amazing people.
I went to see my one of my favorite bands play last night and they were just absolutely perfect.
I'm doing fantastic. I don't want to leave.

I've seen them twice. The first time I was VASTLY underwhelmed...but they were also playing with The New Deal, and The New Deal is too fucking awesome for words.
Then when Krishna came to NYC we saw Disco Biscuits, and I was seriously blown away. They're top notch musicians, with a lot or range. The crowd's a little eh...but it's all good in the end if you've got your own head on your own shoulders.
I was just looking through my girlfriend's brother's old room, he followed Phish around a lot back in his glory days before he settled down somewhat, and man being in his room makes me hungry for tour.

I know dude, I'm sorry! I have this terrible habit with the following 3 items:
PM's emails voicemails
I never return them! I'm really inconsiderate when it comes to that...it's one of my big big problems in life - I tell myself "I'm gonna respond to that later..." and then it drops down to page 2 of my emails or PMs or whatever, and I just forget about it...and my gf is getting outta the shower so I better get off her parents' computer but I'll PM you back about that later this evening - i swear to freakin christ! And you me, yoschie, and vinsue and a couple of other New Yorkers should definitely get together sometime...we're all a subway ride away from each other!

It's getting to be that way at just about every show that I have been to, as of late. Even Sound Tribe and that makes me sad to think of.

Man, I would have loved to have seen them more, but I didn't like them when I first heard them. They just kinda grew on me. I love them now and regret not going to more shows, or on tour for a season. Oh well, I saw Jerry alot while he was still alive. I guess that counts for something.

Yes...a few months ago we adopted her from my mother, who couldn't take care of her.

She's either lab or lab x, nearly 12 yrs old and is such a good girl! Having an elderly dog has been very rewarding. She gets medication several times a day for her allergies, incontinence and ear infections. She has a bed she sleeps on...it's funny, one of the cats will hiss at her, and she'll go straight to her bed. When she goes to the dog park, she acts like a youngster.

Pretty good, thanks! Copacetic. I'm a little tense, there's not even 10 minutes left. I'm going to be bummed out if I don't win this record; it'll be a double in my collection, but my favorite song on the copy I currently own is scratched, making it un-mixable.
And how do you do?

The coffee and dutch? WONDERFUL. Just mentioned it in the coffee thread.
I really have a thing for caramel, tarry flavors, i.e. Cognac, Amaretto, Tobacco, Coffee, etc. And they all mix beautifully to me.
As far as the egg and cheese mixing in there, Ill wait till im done with the blunt.

I have some pod grounds soaking in water for almost a week now. I went ahead and set it up, but now, looking at it is making me NOT want to drink it. I think Im gonna do an alcohol extraction and make puddy.
Ever since i read morninggloryseed's description "it was like drinking hay with crushed aspirin on it" I have been daunted to drink it.

Well THC isn't water soluble, so it probably won't do shit. Use ISO.

Just put the water on low heat, let it evaporate and you'll be left with putty.
Just make sure to keep an eye on it.

The advantage is that it's quicker.

Damn, Hella, you are confusing the shit out of me.
Me asks, "Whats the advantage of using water over alcohol, considering they are both consumable and alcohol evaps quicker?"
Hella answeres, "The advantage is that it's quicker."
Which is quicker? You were talking about the water extraction. I was talking about alcohol.
Im just curious, if there is no difference in quality between a water puddy and an alcohol puddy, why would anyone use water, which takes a long time to evap.

Because you boil the water and it evaporates quicker than alcohol.
Sorry.
