Animals and Sterility
    #5339805 - 02/25/06 11:41 PM (17 years, 11 months ago)

I've got a few jars inoculated and and am now getting ready to start building my fruiting chamber. I'm thinking I'll do a Martha in my bedroom closet. However I was wondering if any experienced growers had any contamination issues when growing in a room also occupied by animals? (In this case 4 hamsters and 2 dutch bunnies) I live in a small apartment, and don't have any extra space so the setup has to go into my bedroom.

I wouldn't worry about it, my stupid cat has stepped on a casing of mine and it was still fine...

Yeah I have dogs and I never have problems. If you keep it clean, it will be clean. Vaccum a lot and look into air cleaners.
