Check out the pic located at http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/362/room0190cf.jpg
The white stuff doesnt look like the rest of the mycellium growing. the cake in the pic is going on its 2nd flush and doesnt look as healthy (but shrooms are growing) as the first flush was. Secondly, on the first flush, the cake did not have the yellow/orange coloring where i circled at the bottom. if you can identify these as contams or as normal, let me know. thanks.

Well i havent even gotten as far as you yet on my first grow, so im less experienced than you are. But from the pictures ive seen in grow logs, that fluffy stuff is just mycelium, it grows at the base of the mushrooms sometimes (please anyone correct me if im wrong, just observations ive made). And ive heard people talk about mycelium excreting a yellow substance, which is what that looks similar to. As i said, im a noob, but it looks fine to me from what ive seen on other pics.

looks fine with me to be quite honest, this happens sometimes during the birthing stage. IMO nothing to worry about.

The large circle looks fine. Sometimes when the RH is really high you will get small patches of fuzzy growth. The second smaller circle looks to be just some vermiculite that happens to be facing perpendicular to the cake and was colinized under instead of over no big deal at all. no worries enjoy
