coir and lime

hey all, i know some say it is not nessasery ...but i am doing an outdoor bed of of eq's an i am caseing with coco fiber....whats the ratio of lime to be added.....if it helps i am in s.east fla. humidity is mild right now due too winter......but still decent conditions for outdoor cubes..of all strains,...... thanks in advance for your help... will provide pics of out door beds....peace

You don't need to add lime to your coir. However, you should add vermiculite(50% by volume).

thanks azure....but i cased in coco fiber and a pinch of lime......i had no time, i had to get it done ,i covered the the caseisg with a large tupperware bowl as per hawks out door tek.....,..so i hope i do not lose moister, due to not haveing any verm in the mix, cause most of the info i have read so far....said just coco fiber.........i will check and maybe mist.....if it get' s a dry look...............will post pic when harvest comes..............peace

pack dirt around the outside edges of the bowl so air cannot escape and bugs cannot get in
