Drying Pan. Cyanescens

Hi all,
I was lucky enough to collect 248 grams of Blue Meanies (Pan. Cyans) with some friends of mine last night and I plan on drying some for future use. The last time I tried to dry Blue Meanies they ended up turning black (not sure if this was from intense bluing or rotting) and when I ate 2.5 grams of them (enough for a level 4/5 trip) I wasn't affected at all. One thing that we did this time when collecting them compared to last time was to make sure we didn't bruise them much and treated them with great care. At the moment a lot of them are still white in colour and only have slight bruising on the stem from when they were handled.
What are some good drying techniques I can use that wouldn't end up with the same result as last time? Last time I dried them infront of a fan for 6-8 hours and then zip-locked them and stored them in a dark place for 2 weeks. Thanks in advance.

I don't think they could have been properly dried after only 6-8 hours. Fan drying is perfectly fine, but you generally need to do it for like 2 days, then some desiccant (like damp-rid from walmart) to finish it off cracker dry.

They were surprisingly very dry after that time infront of the fan. But then again, I only dried a small amount of them.

Pans i have found dry quite a bit quicker than cyans due to their size, also the humidity of your climate will have an effect on that as well. Hard to say exactly what happened when you dried them last. Really the only thing i can suggest is make sure you dont use heat.
