I was considering ordering from them, too, so any info to help dude helps me too.
I was wondering if you could both inoculate and fruit your culture in any of their bags. Horrible idea? I have nothing to sterilize anything with, so I am worried about exposing anything to bacteria, demons, and mold.
In fact, does anyone have any ideas on what I could do as far as growing if I lack a pressure cooker and a semi-sterile area?
I don't want to derail this topic, because I am interested in the answer, too. So please PM me with any ideas.

I just ordered 4 grain bags from them, hope it doesn't take too long, I want to get them started ASAP. I was thinking about ordering one from sporeworks to compare, but I just ordered a cubensis syringe from them and heard you shouldn't order growbags and spores from the same vendor. Whats the word on this? I know sporeworks includes an edible culture, so does that cover their butt on this sort of thing?

AFOAF was not impressed with their bags, 1st time order was ok, not great 2 out of 4 bags were successful, 2nd order all four bags contaminated, they were foggy on arrival. AFOAF emailed mycofactory to question they way the bags looked and they pretty much blew him off. Will not order again. Afoaf heard mad season were the best, he has not tried them yet.

I think TMS still has bags. Afoaf emailed them and they said they had enough to fill his order. He told me that they posted that they are "out of stock" because they are low and don't want to get way behind before they get more in.

I had mixed success with mycofactory bags, but most times they would stall or not get going at all.  Prices are a little steep too. But with a free pen, I'm SOLD!

Are you talking about TMS or mycofactory? Mycofactory took about 3 weeks. They did answer emails pretty quick though. Maybe they're slammed right now? TMS usually only took a day or two, but they are in the same state as me. They always answer emails within a day, most of the time within hours

I wouldn't worry too much about not getting your order. You may not like their bags, but mycofactory always delivered for me. Give them some time to answer your emails before you go crazy.

*sigh* I might need to get a friend to put in a second order to sporeworks to get a bag or two from them. Any word on the success rate of sporeworks grain bags? I saw a few posts on here that looked successful with them... I am not going to be happy if it takes 3 weeks for them to get here... my 2.5 month timeframe is getting smaller and smaller...

BTW I put an order in to sporeworks by phone on Friday afternoon, the guy was really nice on the phone, I got an immediate email confirmation, and I got a shipping notice w/ tracking number earlier this afternoon. Great service.

Unless they started selling other items besides mycobags, I think you mean MycoSupply and not Mycofactory :smirk:

If the "shells" you refer to is the crushed oyster shell, cancel it. Someone posted recently about this and they received oyster chunks, not flour. This is not suitable as a casing additive and unless you have an industrial grinder, it will be REALLY hard to crush it down yourself.

Edit:  HERE is the post I'm talking about.

I got my bags today. Ordered last Saturday, they shipped on Tuesday, and I got them today. Very good service as far as I have dealt with them, hopefully the bags will colonize quickly and fruit abundantly... we'll see though. I also ordered a bag from sporeworks just to compare the two and my results with both bags. I inoculated one of my bags with Penis Envy from sporeworks tonight, and when I get my other syringe and bag from sporeworks tomorrow, I will inoculate the other 4 with B+.
