What would be the best way to dry out my Manure compost, I heard it needs to be dry before pasteurizing, where I am at it is winter and I don't think it will dry naturally outside and don't want to stink up my house! any advice

Why does the poo have to be dry? And how much of a difference does it make to sterilize rather than pastuerize it?

When people say it needs to be dry, they mean it needs to be leached. It should be completely free of ammonia (piss) smell. If what you are using is actually properly composted poo, you shouldn't have that smell. If the poo is ammonia free, then it doesn't matter if it's wet or dry because you will be wetting it anyway when you pastuerize it.

LOL, agar is lit.
Watch garage sales. Buy an old CHEAP electric clothes dryer. Install on back porch.
Bag up h/poo in pillow cases, insert in clothes dryer & switch it ON low heat.

For storage, the manure does need to be dry. Your right it wont dry properly outside this time of the year. I fixed this problem just by spreading it out on a tarp on my garage floor and then placing a good sized ceramic heater in front of it for two days.
I have pasteurized poo that wasn't dried out first. It worked out fine for me. But I have heard people say that it should be dried first. Probably a reason for that. But try it out and see what kind of results you get.

Drying it gets rid of bugs, nematodes, worms, gnats, eggs & larva. As well as loads of microbes & bacteria - you don't want. It also rids it of ammonia, which is lethal to Myc.

If you sterilize the poo you will have to throw it out. The reason you pasteurize poo (or anything) is to kill of the organisms you don't want, and to keep the organisms you do want. Pasteurized poo is alive and can fight contams. Sterilized poo is dead and defeats the purpose of using poo.
steriilizing poo works just as good as pasturized Hpoo. ive gotten less contams by doing this and w/ no loss of potency.
