fruiting chamber
    #5336202 - 02/24/06 09:45 PM (17 years, 11 months ago)

Noob questions, but questions none the less..
Does the fruiting chamber have to be air tight or should there be some air flow.
Also, will the cake still have chance of contamination once in fruiting?
Lastly,whats the best temperature/Humidity/lighting?
thx

1. some air flow.

2. yes. some chance.

3. I think temp around 76 and humidity 100% for cakes; lighting, fluorescent

Yes you want FAE fresh air exchange, the FC should be vented and not air tight, but not to much that it will lower the RH

It is possible but a cake that is 100% colonized is some what resistance by then

Now that you will have to search for, that is very common info and instead of telling you you should take the time and understand why

Good luck
