birthing question

i have 4 jars that i innoc'd 29 days ago. they are all covered with myc on the outside and im pretty sure in the middle too, because the bottom of the jars are all white too. it says to birth them when you see tiny little shrooms inside the jar but i dont see any. one of the cakes is completely white and fluffy looking it looks liek a giant marshmellow in a jar, but still no "primorida" or whatever its called. i have read other posts that say to wait before the outside is covered, then give it an extra 3 days to make sure the inside is covered, then birth the cake but they didnt say anything about waiting to see the "tiny worm like structres" like it says in the PF Tek. can i birth them or should i wait to see primorida?

Give it 2 or 3 more days then birth, just to make sure the inside is strong.

so it is ok to birth without seeing the tiny worm like structures? as long as the myc network is strong?

I dont know what worm like structures your talking about. From the time the whole jar is completely covered with fluffy white, give it a couple more days and you'r good to go.

Oh dude those worm like structures are shrooms. I thought you were talking about Ropey Myc at first. But from what I have been told you have to expose them to light to get them to grow, some people do it inside the jars and then birth them while others just birth them and introduce the light and wait for that effect. Personally I'd see birthing it and then exposing it to light as a plus because you can get better gas exchange as well as moisture over letting it form in the jar.
Good luck man I'm getting ready to birth some cakes as well.

Uh yeah, don't wait that long. Do exactly what I said in my last response to you.

i also prefer to birth them out of the jar. It cuts out the step of getting light to the jars, and a slightly cooler environment. what can i say, i'm just trying to make it easier on myself. .......anyways, yea, i've tried it both ways, and had almost identical results, and one less step.
