simmer w/o lid

so umm

i didnt realize that to simmer you had to have the lid on

ive "simmered" rye successfully before not using a lid, but thats also because i soaked them for 24 hours

so i just simmered cracked corn.. but i didnt use a lid

is this gonna matter? should it still hold the moisture in

does the lid really matter

well, ive never simmered w/ the lid on and ive soaked for 24 hours before too so i wouldnt say its mandatory or anything

but i used cracked corn this time, i didnt soak it.. and i simmered without a lid.. it just feels like i cooked it instead haha, we'll see

i just got them outta the pc and shook em all up.. they appear to still have good moisture content. the grains and verm is still wet and there is no excess moisture in the jar. hopefully they arent too dry.. i think ill knock it up with quite a bit extra lc just to make sure
