i just got a used incubator from a friend who use to breed geckos and it had a little bit dirt in it. its mostly made out of Styrofoam. will rubbing alcohol work enough or i could take the little heater and thermometer rig them into a knew one.it would just be a hassle. let me know :pirate:

ya know, i never really worried about the sterility of my incubator. Of course it was a new styrafoam cooler with a small heating pad ... Should be okay. Id worry about getting contams during inoculation, or birthing, never really durring inncubation, figure if i got a contam then it was durring the inoculation stage..

If it is styrofoam then I would rinse it out in with water to remove the dirt and just spray some lysol in it. You could also get away with wiping the whole thing down with alcohol instead of the lysol.
