For cakes, just do the rubbermaid and perlite. It's easy and effective.

PERSONALLY, I prefer using the casing method. I was told by so many to use the cake method but found the casing method to be much easier and with higher yields. But, I guess it depends on what you have learned so far...I suggest not moving forward with cultivation until you completely understand the Tek method you will be using, but like I said I am new to this also, but reccomend casing.

My first time I cased half the cakes and fruited the other half right out of the jars.

Get the biggest rubbermaids you can get and put a good 3-4 inches of wet perlite on the bottom. By far the easiest way to get optimal RH.

18 or 17 (depending on brand) gallon rubbermaid. - if it can fit in whatever space your using.

what worked best for me with cakes, was a heating pad under the rubbermaid. i kept it on low with a towel between it and the container. and it really made a difference with the humidity level.

it kept the humidity level alot more higher than without it.

Im tellin you that tho because you said you had 12 cakes, and thats alot of keep up. airing out ALOT and keeping humidity level high and stable- heating pad will help you out alot.

i would def. say 2 18 gallons, perlite humidifaction, heating pad.

casing the cakes is good. pretty effective too, but close to worthless if you arent growing in a pretty clean enviroment- if you got that on lock though then casing some of them is a must.

even if you only do a small pan.
