I've gotten that a few times; its very high pitched, almost seems like its not there.

I get it sometimes when i turn on a tv, or usually whenever something dealing with electric starts/stops, or after i goto a concert.

I'm not sure if its the same thing you're hearing

Yeah, but it happens to me MAYBE once a month, if that. Not every couple of days. And mine only lasts for maybe 30 seconds max.

if you get it too often for too long it can be a problem with the bones in your ear, meaning its leading to hearing problems/hearing loss.
my family has a genetic problem with one of the ear bones, and many people would used to complain about ringing now have hearing aids.

go easy on the loud music

It sounds like tinnitus. This can be caused by exposure to loud sounds, and sometimes this is caused by a tumor in the inner ear. It happens because some hairs in your cochlea have been bent and do not straighten out due to the constant exposure (or pressure of a tumor)

its pretty commen for this to happen.
Be careful listening to loud music. Deafness is very prevelent, be good to your ears

sometimes around eletric machinery you hear a horrible high tone rining.... or i do. no one else seems to hear it.

is that what's going on in your ears? or is it actually loud and particularly audible?

i generally hear a high frequency very quite "eeeee" in my ears I suppose.

they generally have a lot of pressure in them too and feel like they are CLOGGED up.... my hearing is way way good if the clogging disappears, which it did once and the improvement in hearing was just REMARKABLY AMAZING but then they clogged up again and the hearing sucked.

i've given up on it but i still think maybe my hearing would improve drastically could i find a way to remove this sensation of them being clogged (which comes and goes and i've stopped paying attention to)

i've been to several doctors and an ear nose and throat specialist and they don't see anything wrong, evne had a cat scan done.

uve described it but i dunno if its from high frequency electronics but its kinda like when u go swimming and go really deep in the water and all the pressure builds up in ur ears.but i havnt gone swimming in a long ass time. maybe it a twitch in my inner ear bones or some pressure on them i really have no idea and its been happening for a while but lately it seemed to get worse.and yea its like an "eeeeee" or screeching sound

I think those high frequencies you hear are actually audible, its just that most people dont detect it because most people have at least a slight bit of hearing loss.

My best guess is that the clog is in your middle ear and its from pressure in that area. Have you ever had your sinuses completly cleaned out? Since that whole general area is connected.

I have the same clogged feeling and I think its because I have a lot of flem in my throat which probably clogs up that area a bit, but I don't know how right I am about that. I just have a basic level understanding of the ear

Yea I've had that high pitched ringing all day every day for as long as I can remember. It doesnt bother me because I'm used to it and I have no idea what it would be like to not hear that ringing sound.

I was born with a non-functioning left ear, so that could have something to do with it. I'm hoping that in the next ten years or so medical technology advances enough to fix it.

What doesnt function in your left ear? if its your inner ear, and deals with the transfer of mechanical energy to electrochemical, they have cochlear implants that you can get. but if you're concerned about unsightly appearence by it, you wouldnt want it because it requires you carry around equipment. Not everyone is a candidate for the process, but it certainly helps most who can and do get it.

I've had several MRIs and the like but no one seems to see what the problem is. They tell me its probably a nerve that never fully developed. Mechanically the ear is fine, all the bones are there and in the right place.

YEa I would much rather deal with asking people "what?" than have to wear an earpiece and carry around gear on my hip.

Have you ever monitored your blood pressure during these episodes?

Sometimes that can be the culprit.
