Hey folks, with the taking down of a few sites there is now a limited amount of info out there. I thought I would share my last project with you. This is a Deep water culture. It is a form of hydroponics that does not require pumps or complicated plumbing. Supplies you will need are: Plastic tub, air pump hose and bubble wand, net cups or 4"-1" PVC adapter with peat pots. Also as with all hydro systems you will need a Ph tester and a TDS tester to know how much fertilizer is in the water after the plants drink some.
First cut holes in top of tub just large enough to snuggly place you pots in.

Then I first used the PVC pieces with foam inserts holding the stalk. This work well for clones or those using the sea-of-green method, but I found that after the plants get over 3ft they are to top heavy for these. Now I am going with clones grown in peat pots that just happen to fit in the PVC pieces very nicely. When the plants get bigger I will fill the PVC cups with gravel.

Lastly you will need to mount an air stone or two in the bottom of your tub. This is the most important part of the system. You can never have to much air in the water. But not enough will cause rot in the roots of your plant.

Now just add water, your favorite fertilizing regimen, and rooted clones. This the easiest hydro system for someone without the "handyman" gene. When you use any hydro system monitoring the PH and dissolved solids in your reservoir is going to mean the difference between just keeping a plant alive, and reaping a killer harvest.

net pots man, those peat pots will dissolve with too much moisture.

you will want alot more air for that size container and that number of plants,2 pumps and 2 - 4 lg airstones...but it is a great way to grow, they used to call it bubbler buckets..more air = happier roots, which means bigger buds
