Would 'marijuana gravy' work?

I was wondering... If I were to grind up some marijuana and mix it in with some instant gravy granules (like Bisto or something), and then make the gravy as usual and eat it with my dinner, would it get me stoned? I'm just unsure wheather the heat from the boiling water would be enough to activate the THC?
I know that a lot of heat is required to make it active and it would take more of the marijuana to achieve a similar effect to smoking it, but I really miss my 6 hour space cake trips since I came back from Holland and wanted to find a convenient way to eat it now that I'm back in the UK that isn't too complicated.
Think this would work?

Why don't you just make brownies for dessert?

It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded." -- Abraham Lincoln, 1840.

As I said, I don't want to do anything that's too complicated. Dessert is not something that I typically eat, so I would be going out of my way to make brownies.

make butter then use that in anything...including gravy bust the herb up very well put it in a pot with equal amount of butter and water simmer the butter/water/herb mixture for 10 minutes filter the material out, toss it put the mix in the freezer until the butter solidifies and there you have it, good to use

Well, that's the problem. I don't use butter in anything that I make. :p
I was also thinking of perhaps trying leary biscuits.

I tried this last night and my butter took on more of a pea-green color than the emerald-color I have read it is supposed to. I put mine in the fridge instead of freezer and now (10 hrs later) have a layer of mushy water underneath the solidified butter. Did I do something wrong? And does the water layer contain a good amount of THC or can I wash this off?
Oh yeah, spatchulas rock!

Thanks for the reply, it came in handy at the in-laws this weekend. I mixed 10gms nug : half stick, 2 tsp. literally made my eyes oscillate. Good stuff
