How each person's existance changes the World.

Say you were to have 2 children with another person and your children would always have 2 children as well, this happens say, every 25 years.  Now from personal experience, think of how many people lives you've had an effect on.  It could be anyone from a friend, to someone you had a conversation with.  Since not everyone will have 2 kids (although some may have more) we'll be on the safe side of the calcualtion and round down with this number, so say in an average life, one will effect 200 people.

Now, with those numbers in mind, over the course of a 1000 years, you effect all of your decendents and the 200 people that they each effect in their lives.  That means that in the course of 1000 years, you will have had 2^40 decendents.  Each of those decendents will ahve an effect on 200 people, so you will indirectly have an effect on 200(2^40)=2.199e^14, over 219 trillion people.  Just to be extra cautious even (since lineages won't flow so easily), say each person effects only 100 people, that still would be over a trillion people you effect in 1000 years.

Just a thought. :stoned:

More effective in producing change in the world is the manners in which we interact with others/simply experience life and be present within it. Each passing moment implies constant change. Your interaction with your environment is an expression of oneself and one's being, and certainly a creation of one's environment, as one is an aspect of one's environment.

Nature's emergence as a mesh, interdependant system of parallel events is such that the far-reaching effects of the manner in which we behave in this moment are nearly unknowable, but yet considerable, far-reaching effects do result.

Our relationship with our environment (as in reality) is very intimate and full of seductive interplay.
