a while ago ralplhster said that compost substrates werent much harder that BRF rye ect. unless im looking at the wrong teks ona couple boards, that was a vicious lie. so was i right, or are these teks overly involved ? if someone can point me 2 a tek they consider pretty direct and straightfoward, id appreciate it.
If you mean dung methods, no they aren't that complicated at all. Just get some old dry cow pies and use in any number of ways. Crumble and add to straw. Crumble, add a little verm, spawn with grain or cakes. Simply mix it in with your grain. Mix it into pf jars. Lotsa ways to use dung.
Similar things can be done with worm castings, horse manure and zoodoo.
If you mean compost, it depends. you can buy it ready to go from a vendor (and pay for it). In which case it's easy as pie. Just spawn, let it sit, harvest.
What is time intensive is preparing your own compost. Do some searches if that's what you want to do, but yes it will take some time and effort. Not a whole lot, but compared to the others it is a good bit of work.
There is no vicious lie if ralph said that compost subs aren't much harder than BRF rye etc. Same goes for dung. Just not making your own compost.
