In terms of lighting, whould a 'night light' work?? Assuming it was mounted in a similar way to these, not just in a room where the tubs are standing in. Im trying to find a light to use with the lowest light and heat level possible for growing (dont want something that is too dim to grow with), as well as keeping the size of the lighting unit down to a minimum.

Edit: These look perfect btw, what type of store did u get them from??? Im in australia so i doubt ill have the exact store name, but just the type of store, was it a lighting specialist???

a single white LED would be enough light. plus the dont give off heat, and low power. not to mention they are cheap and easy to install, if youre going for stealth you can have the setup battery powered

While I have heard of people using LED lights I have never seen anyone post results with them. I once experimented with a strip of 5 LEDs for under counter lighting, and couldn't seem to get a good pin set. I only played with it once so I wouldn't say they wont work but I seem to do better with more light.

would 7 watts really make a lot of heat?

Not a lot, but depending on the temp already..it might be to much. A sealed chamber will hold in heat very well.

Chances are it will work out fine. Night lights work well. So do rope lights.
