Finally I found some actives.
    #5324991 - 02/21/06 05:47 PM (17 years, 11 months ago)

I was at a park in Katy where they are building a new neighborhood when our sit down turned into a hunt. I found some great ones and these I know for a fact are actives. They are definetly cubenis. I'm taking a spore print now to be sure and I'm going back tonight to find more.

These are exactly what they look like. They have the skirt the golden nipple with the white gills and blue bruising all over them. I'm so stoked that I finally found some. I found about 8 and I'm going back tonight. The weather has been 50 and below for the entire weekend with heavy rain and today it was 63 and I found all these. Hooray for Katy, Texas.

I'll post my pics once I get them on the computer.

I would also like to know if you can eat them wet or do you have to dry them? Also whats my best course of action to take with these as far as consuming them?

wait till he gets them iDed before you start offering consumption methods.

It seems fishy to me, he said he found them in a park. I never heard of a park, with cattle.

Did you say WHITE GILLS xNerox??  If so, they are definitely not cubes.  Also if you found them in a park, and not in a cowfield, then they are almost certainly not cubes.  And also, given your history of completely retarded posts displaying fuck-all knowledge about mushrooms, I seriously doubt you found cubes.  Please don't eat what you found until you post a pic - please!!  Otherwise, soon you'll be like this guy

Sorry for not being specific guys. The park is next to a huge huge cow field that's been there for years. I was walking next to the fence just to see if I could spot any and I saw lots of old cow pies with hay tied to the fence. I hoped over the fence and went for a 30 minute walk. I'm on my way to my friends to upload the pictures so stay tuned guys. Like I said though I'm 100% positive these are actives.

horha - Don't thread jack. If you want to talk about your mushrooms, make your own thread.

xNerox - White gills is almost always a bad sign.

I'm guessing you found Chlorophyllum molybdites, which is highly toxic. If this is the case spore print will be green.

Check them out.

OK folks..

The boy found him some NICE Winter time TexAs Cubensis.. A nice set of mushrooms I might add.
I stuck my neck out and asked him a few questions. We have been PM'n back and forth..
I felt I could help a new guy out and asked him to swing by and I would give him a visual ID..
I will also add that I had a talk with him and his girl and it felt good to make a positive ID for a good hearted person.
I also told him that he had to be a bit more on the information side and such. He has a nice camera and I feel we can get this guy headed in the right direction..

Congrats man!

You could have saved us some hassle by telling us what they were growing from. As others mentioned, it's rare to find P. cubensis habitat in a "park".

Have a good trip.

Cubensis can't be found growing naturally in CA. Nor is it listed in Mapping the mycelial network.

There are several Psilocybes found in CA, but not Psilocybe cubensis.

stevo - Don't thread jack. If you want to talk about mushrooms in California, then make a thread, or better yet, search for one of the many hundreds already made which cover that topic.

This thread is about xnerox's mushrooms.

I found about 9 more after I left his house last night around 930pm. I'll tell you one thing though, the ones I took last night and the ones my friend took from the batch I found really tripped us out. It was like a whole nother reality. I'm going to have to write a trip report about this one. It was the first time I ever took some and actually had visuals. Thanx again guys.

This wasn't my first time but the first time i took some I only took 2 grams and had a body  high. This time I was in my own reality. Tonight I'm taking a second batch that I got on a hill by my house and I'm going to chill on a blanket with a stereo and the stars. I'll also have a nice lady by my side as well.

Me and my friend got no trip from the gyms at all. I was pretty sad about it too.

Psilocybin, like LSD, causes a pretty rapid tolerance to form. Since you had just tripped the night before, it is likely that you weren't going to get much of a trip. If you take a few days off you'll probably get a trip out of those gyms.

Ya ... Low dosage on the Gyms is the problem here...
Guess you should have consumed more.. Sorry!

I tripped good off Gyms one night and then tripped way hard the next night from my "51" Cubes..

Gyms have the best of both words......

But I will add that I dosed with 5.7 Gr Gyms. last Saturday night and had a hard time..
All I wanted to do was go lay down in bed.. But than again Roger Waters "Amused to death" was not the best CD to listen to... Man it was a Dark Dark night!

No sympathy there, you're asking for it by listening to that.

5.7 gr wet or dry?
