black holes....

anyone even think about black holes.... scientist say the gravity is so strong not even light can escape from one but what if u were sucked into one.anyone think that it would take u into another dimension, reality, what ever.. or just die instantly and be ripped into billions of pieces? if the gravity is so strong why couldn't it mess with time and space maybe even go forward or backwards in time?

You wouldn't be ripped into millions of pieces, but crushed, as you state when you say the gravity is so strong nothing could escape. There's no room for any ripping of the flesh.
I don't know about the effects on the time aspect of the spacetime continuum, but it seems seriously doubtful you'd be alive to experience them.

I believe the term is "spaghettification." It would stretch you thin like a spaghetti noodle, and then rip you in half, then rip the halves in half, and so on.

Light can't withstand the gravity. How the fuck could you make a ship that can?

lol.. i dunno ive been drunk all day.
maybe aliens in another galaxy on a planet thats gravity is a million times stronger than ours has developed an alloy that can withstand it and use it to galaxy hop....

If you were sucked into a black hole, there is no doubt that your physical life is over. The real question is whether or not you believe in some sort of afterlife.
But hey, what does science know anyway?

I'd say that the chances of life developing in gravity that strong are approximately zilch.

Then it too would be turned into subatomic stew.

fine.. what if some inanimate object (piece of metal) was sucked into a black hole where would it go if it could withstand the force of the gravity

I don't think it'd go anywhere.
All massive objects create an effect on the spacetime continuum. When a massive star collapses in on itself and has such a profound effect on the spacetime continuum so that nothing can escape without exceeding the speed of light (ignoring theoretical Hawking radiation) a black hole is formed. Of course, since nothing can exceed the speed of light according to general relativity, nothing can escape.
So where would it go, besides down into an indentation of the spacetime continuum? Down the rabbit hole, but not really.

What? Haven't you ever seen what happened to Ren and Stimpy when they got pulled into a black hole?

Some say there might be something else on the other end of a black hole, but that isn't necessarily so. Our usual laws of physics break down inside a black hole. In any case, even if there is a "white hole" at the end of every black hole, it's highly unlikely that anything could reassemble at the other end. It would all just come out as subatomic particles.

ive been researching this topic for quite a few years, and the main question that keeps bugging me is, according to quantum physics there is a probability that everything will happen. you could drop a ball a million times and each time it will fall to the ground, but according to quantum physics ther eis a probability that one of the times it wont fall, or it will fall right through the ground. sooooo..
if gravity in a black hole is so strong that everything is sucked in and compacted into almost nothing, what if you were to go into one (assuming you could somehow withstand the sphagettification) and the probability of the gravity's effects on you turned out in a way unlike our daily lives. in other words you odnt get crushed.

That's one of those hypothetical situations I doubt anyone will ever know.
What happens if you drove your rocket straight into the sun, and by simple probability you weren't incinerated instantly? Hypothetical situations like these really have no answers.
