Ok.....I'm havin' some trouble lately. I've cased b4 w/success, but my last several casings have all contaminated after the 1st flush. What's going on? I'm getting cobweb and green mold......I've tried to recover them, but haven't had any luck. Why is this happening now all of a sudden?
There is a difference between staying clean, and getting clean after a contaminate has moved in. My friend went through several grow cycles before the cobweb mold moved in. Once there it was very difficult to get rid of. Once gone it was fairly easy to keep it from coming back. Before you start your next run, clean _EVERYTHING_. Soak everything for 24+ hours in water to coax endospores to germinate and then soak it all again in a clean water/10% bleach solution for a few more hours. Clean the floor, walls, ceilings... change the furnace filters... run an air filter... clean yourself, your clothes, any plumbing or fixtures going into the grow chamber, anything and everything you can think of. It is much easier to stay clean in the first place than to fight something off after it has moved in. One spore can ruin three months of labor. You can use IPA (97%) and H2O2 (3%) from the grocery store to help in the fight.
